Reading Club

The goal of Reading Club is to give students the opportunity to discuss the deeper meaning and ideas behind the text, and to make real-life connections to the literary works of 21-century authors. Traditional novels read in class tend to focus on specific themes and main ideas and though that is important, our club strives to show students how literature has multiple meanings based on the way the reader perceives what they read. We hope that through student participation in these meeting/discussions, students will be able to appreciate literature in a new way!  Open to Grades 5 – 8.
