The St. Germaine School Board consists of 7 parent representatives that act as an advisory board to the principal and pastor. Their task is to help develop practices that enable the school to reach its goals. Members of the board serve 3 year terms. The board meets monthly to provide legislative action updates and organize various events throughout the school year that help build community.
The School Board By-Laws include this summary of its purpose:
“The St. Germaine School Board, realizing that it shares in the teaching mission of the Church, shall have as its primary concern the vision to create a Christian educational community where human culture and knowledge, enlightened and enlivened by faith, is shared among the teachers and students in a spirit of freedom and love.
Working in close collaboration with the pastor; its executive officer, the principal; and hearing its many publics, the school board shall develop policies that will enable the school to reach its agreed upon goals.”
