I Can Do It!
Our school theme last year was “perseverance.” It means, “sticking to” a task all the way to the finish, even when it is hard. It also carries another important facet. Not only do we encourage students, parents, and teachers to “stick to” difficult tasks, but to complete them to the best of their ability. The question, “Are you proud of your work?” sounded throughout our school.
During the 2016-2017 school year we will continue to develop the theme and build the values that it implies. Our “one-to-one” Chromebook initiative for students in Grade 5-8 and our focus on making use of the wealth of appropriate resources from the internet will help students to be actively engaged in their own learning. We hope that they will share the responsibility for their own learning.
